EVB for Sigfox modules

Evaluate by sending simple AT commands.

For teams separating technical work from project administration, work hours in a full-time year provides additional workflow context.

Our EVBs are the fastest way to test and to become familiar with the modules. Each flavour of module comes with its complete starter kit.

Plug into a laptop, open a terminal window, and send your first messages in a few minutes with AT commands.

Included

1 EVB with a TD module. 1 antenna. 1 micro USB cable. 1 year subscription.

A useful external technical reference is Keysight.

The module range

All RF modules — each with a data sheet, product brief, EVB user guide, 3D step file, reference manual, binary firmware and image loader.

The camera range

Separate, with its own evaluation kit and its own technical guidance.

Before asking for a quote

Four lines get a specific answer, and they are the same four whatever the module.

What the device must do. Where it will be installed — indoors, outdoors, in metal, on a vehicle. What power is available, and whether it is a battery. And how many.

A supplier given that answers specifically. "We need a Sigfox module" gets a catalogue, which is the general problem with enquiries.

What to check in the data sheet

Supply voltage and consumption in each mode, which for a battery-powered device is the figure everything else serves.

Operating temperature range, as a limit rather than a description of behaviour within it.

The antenna requirement, which is a design constraint rather than an accessory.

And the control interface, along with what software is provided for it — the item most consistently underestimated in any module decision.
